Sandra L. "Sandy" Shelton, CPA
Sandy is a founding officer and shareholder of Craven, Shelton & Gann, P.A. Sandy began her career in public accounting in 1985. Prior to that, she worked for a major insurance company in mortgage backed securities. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Sandy graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has earned her Certificate of Educational Achievement in Business Valuations and is a Candidate with the American Society of Appraisers. She is also a licensed agent for life and health insurance and Medicare supplement and long term insurance in North Carolina.
Sandy works with business owners and individuals, assisting them in all areas of financial matters, including financial accounting and planning, business valuations, real estate, tax planning and preparation, budgeting and advisor. She has worked on valuations for businesses in settling shareholder disputes, assist in divorce situations, determine values for estate purposes, and for the purchase or sale of a business. She has earned the trust of her clients because of her experience in her field and dedication to meeting their needs.
She also believes in serving her community through volunteer work. Sandy has been a member of the Greensboro Host Lions Club since 1996, and has served in several officer capacities including president in 2000-2001. She is one of the founders of the Triad chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and is currently serving as treasurer. She has also served in many other different capacities for various business and civic organizations including Business Women of the Triad, Preservation Greensboro, and Win-Win Resolutions. Brigitte B. Gann, CPA
Brigitte Gann is a Certified Public Accountant and an owner in Craven, Shelton & Gann, P.A. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants-License #23176. Brigitte has worked in public accounting since 1993 and, prior to 1993, had thirteen years business experience in finance and accounting at a local bank. She graduated with honors from Guilford College earning a Batchelor of Administrative Science Degree with a major in Accounting.
Brigitte has a life and health insurance license as well as a Medicare supplement and long term care insurance license in North Carolina.
Brigitte is committed to helping clients attain success in their businesses and their personal lives. Her experience qualifies her to offer a wide range of services to various businesses and individuals. She advises clients on matters of tax planning, accounting, financial planning, retirement planning, insurance planning and general business consulting. She also performs financial statement audits and works with clients on fraud prevention and detection.
Brigitte has served the local community in many capacities throughout her life. She has been very active in her church working in multiple areas. For eight years she was a member of the Greensboro Area Incentives Network and served as their treasurer for five years. She is also a past member and President of Professional Women’s Network (a women’s leads and networking group). She is currently focusing her community efforts on the Women’s Resource Center (a local non-profit agency). There, Brigitte has served on the board of directors for three years, most recently as the organization’s treasurer and currently as the Chair Elect. (NC CPA License #23176)
